farmers wife

I'm afraid it's that time again.... yes, it's harvest time! I can't believe I get to say that I am a Farmer's Wife! That is so cool, and funny! Colby is beginning to get things ready to go and it will take him a couple of weeks to cut all the barley and wheat at the cabin. Everything is so thick this year thanks to all that glorious rain! I need to get some more photographs of my kids standing in the fields. I think that I will do that sometime this week and post them. They turned out so great last time.

I also think that I am going to go to Cal Ranch Supply and buy me a farmin' hat so I can really look the part!

I can't believe it, summer is here and it has finally stopped raining! We are busy as ever and I am currently looking for someone that can produce my jewelry and do the metal work for me. My jewelry has been selling like crazy and I can't seem to keep up with production! It has been very exciting and I am encouraged by it because having someone help me with manufacturing will allow me to spend more time designing and sculpting.
I will be posting some new photos soon!

Colby and I finally got away! We drove to Las Vegas and Phoenix. It was such a great road trip and I got Colb all to myself. It was such great weather and the sun felt so good! It was just what I needed to keep me from going crazy this winter. We stayed at a really nice resort in Vegas for 4 days and then went to Phoenix to visit Anthony. He has a great house there and entertained us for the weekend! My favorite was seeing the Botanical Gardens there in Phoenix... who knew there is such a variety of cacti and how beautiful they are!

There was a beautiful art glass display at the gardens also.

We brought home some t-shirts from the ASU basketball game that we saw for the kids. Are'nt they cute?

What a great new year so far! I am so excited to start my year out fresh with a clean slate. I don't know why I feel that way, I just do. Things are so wonderful during the holidays but everything seems so rushed. The birth of Jesus Christ is the true meaning of Christmas and why we celebrate -yet it seems to get crowded out too often during the hustle and bustle. I was so lucky to be able to capture a few fleeting moments and get these photos with my children and my two nephews during a visit to Colby's parents. These are my favorite photos of the 2008 holiday and will be treasured always (even though Mason wanted NOTHING to do with that robe!). Remember the Saviour throughout the seasons and keep him close. Merry Christmas everyone. Let's play some guitar hero! Santa brought us this great game and we have been rocking out to it ever since! It is so much fun to play with the drums and the guitar and sing! It's also really funny how we can all sit around and watch everyone else play the game. It think that it is hypnotizing watching the chords on the tv.......

Okay, so her is my darling daughter in her princess costume. Well, this one got returned because it was causing severe scatchage! She was so uncomfortable in it, the dress was actually making little scrapes on her shoulders. So she was really good and tried it on so that I could take a picture. I think that I loved this dress because it would have been the Ultimate dream dress when I was her age!
